What the tool does
It compares the figures in your final settlement (finiquito) with the minimum set by law, item by item. The formulas follow the Workers' Statute (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and the CGPJ's practical guide for calculating severance pay (v0.6, July 2026), and each figure comes with the article it is taken from.
When a rule allows two calculations, it gives the range between them. What your collective agreement may improve, such as more days of holiday or a different accrual of the extra payments (pagas extra), is compared with the legal minimum and flagged. When a detail is missing without which there is no legal figure, such as the notice period for a resignation, it marks it as “can't be checked” instead of giving a figure it cannot know.
If you upload a document, an AI model copies its details into the form. It does not calculate anything: you confirm each detail before reviewing, and the figures are calculated by the same tool as when you type them in.
What it does not do
- It is not legal advice. It gives general information about what the law says.
- It does not know your collective agreement, and it does not review net pay, bonuses (pluses), overtime or commissions.
- It does not decide whether the grounds for a dismissal are justified. That is for a court to decide.
- It does not tell you what to do with your final settlement.
It does not replace an employment law firm, a labour relations adviser (graduado social) or a trade union, who can review your case with your documents and your collective agreement.
The rental review Beta
It compares what you pay or have paid for the rental of a main home, with an agreement signed on or after 6 March 2019, with what the law allows: agency fees, deposit and guarantees, annual increases, expenses and return of the deposit with its interest. Each item comes with the law it is taken from, with its period of validity and its status.
Several rental laws changed in 2026, and some are pending validation (convalidación) by Congress. Each rule says whether it is in force, pending validation or repealed. When a result depends on a law pending validation, it gives both calculations and the total only adds the lower one; if it depends on a decree that Congress repealed, it gives both calculations and does not add them.
It does not assess damage or whether a deduction from the deposit is justified, it does not calculate the cap on the initial rent in stressed housing areas (zonas tensionadas), it does not apply the specific rules of each autonomous community and it does not check extensions or notice periods beyond their dates. Nor does it review seasonal agreements, room rentals, agreements for another use or agreements signed before 6 March 2019.
This is a section in testing: it may contain errors while it is checked against real cases. If you see a figure that does not match the law, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.
The employment contract review
It compares an ordinary employment contract (relación laboral común) in Spain with what the law guarantees: the pay against each year's SMI, the type of contract and its fixed-term nature, the chaining of contracts against your employment history, the trial period, working hours and rest periods, part-time work, holidays and extra payments, the limits the law sets on some clauses and the information the employer has to give you in writing (Real Decreto 723/2026). Each point comes with the law it is taken from, with its period of validity. When the law says that a fixed-term contract becomes permanent, it quotes the article with its text; it does not decide your case.
It does not read collective agreements or their pay tables: it says what depends on your collective agreement, and it only compares the pay for your job category if you enter it yourself. It does not assess whether the reason for a fixed-term contract is justified, or whether a clause is valid beyond what the law sets in writing, such as its duration or its compensation. It does not calculate net pay, IRPF (income tax) or social security contributions. It does not review special employment relationships, contracts through a temporary employment agency, relief contracts or workers under 18, and for contracts before 30 March 2022 it does not review their fixed-term nature.
The domestic worker review Beta
It compares the pay, working hours, holidays, final settlement and dismissal by withdrawal (desistimiento) of a domestic worker with what is set by Real Decreto 1620/2011, Real Decreto-ley 16/2022 and each year's royal decrees on the SMI, figure by figure and with the article each one is taken from.
It does not assess whether the reason for a withdrawal is true, nor what you may have agreed with the family, nor social security contributions, nor what you receive net. It does not ask for your name, DNI, address, nationality, immigration status, health or pregnancy. It gives information about the law and is not legal advice.
This is a section in testing: it may contain errors while it is checked against real cases. If you see a point that does not match the law, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.
The review of the APR (TAE) and deadlines of your credit
It recalculates the APR (TAE) of a personal loan, car finance or a revolving card from the figures in its agreement, as set by Ley 16/2011; it compares that APR with the average rate published by the Banco de España for the month of the agreement; it checks whether what was charged for early repayment exceeds the cap in art. 30, and it calculates the withdrawal period. Each result comes with the law, the interpretation or the official data it is taken from.
It does not assess the transparency of the clauses or rate your interest rate: the comparison with the average rate is a reference, with its source, and a judge also weighs the circumstances of the case. It does not calculate any amount from that comparison and does not link to law firms. It does not ask for your name, DNI or account number. It gives information about the law and is not legal advice.
The review of your insurance dates
For a home or car insurance policy, it calculates the last day to give notice that you are not renewing it and whether the notice of changes arrived with the advance notice required by the Ley de Contrato de Seguro and, if you took it out at a distance, the withdrawal period under Ley 22/2007. Each date comes with the article it is taken from.
It does not assess whether the price of your insurance is high or low, nor the cover, nor whether the sum insured matches the value of what is insured, nor how a claim is valued. It does not ask for your name, DNI or policy number. It gives information about the law and is not legal advice.
The review of your mortgage costs and feesBeta
For an individual's mortgage on their home, it separates the set-up costs that Ley 5/2019 places on the bank for deeds from 16-06-2019, and the tax from 10-11-2018, from what corresponds under the allocation the Tribunal Supremo (Supreme Court) applies to earlier deeds, never adding them together; it checks whether what was charged for early repayment or for switching to a fixed rate exceeds the legal cap, and it says what the law and the courts have said about the clauses in the deed, with their source and date. Each result comes with the law or the interpretation it is taken from.
It does not assess whether the clauses in your deed are transparent or whether they are unfair (abusividad), it does not calculate what a floor clause (cláusula suelo) or the IRPH meant for your instalments and it does not say whether any time limit has passed in your case. It does not link to law firms. It does not ask for your name, DNI or address. It gives information about the law and is not legal advice.
This is a section in testing: it may contain errors while it is checked against real cases. If you see a figure that does not match the law, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.
The reviews of your billsBeta
For a household electricity bill on the 2.0TD tariff, up to 15 kW, in the Peninsula or the Balearic Islands (Baleares) and issued from 12-06-2026, it checks line by line whether its figures add up with your own prices and with what the regulations set: days, contracted power, energy, access charges and levies, the taxes in force on that date, meter rental, bono social and charges your tariff does not allow. For a mobile or internet contract, it calculates the penalty the law allows if you leave early, whether a change of conditions lets you leave without it and whether you are charged for days after cancellation. Each result comes with the regulation or the official table it is taken from.
It does not compare offers or say which tariff or contracted power to choose: to compare offers, the CNMC has an official comparison tool. It does not recalculate PVPC energy hour by hour, because that would need your consumption for each hour. It does not cover Canarias, Ceuta or Melilla, or bills issued before 12-06-2026. It does not ask for your name, DNI, your supply point code or account number. It gives information about the regulations and is not legal advice.
This is a section in testing: it may contain errors while it is checked against real cases. If you see a figure that does not match the regulations, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.
The estimate of unemployment benefit during an ERTE Beta
It estimates gross monthly unemployment benefit during an ERTE (temporary lay-off scheme) for economic, technical, organisational or production reasons, for force majeure or under the mecanismo RED, with the benefit base (base reguladora) and the figures you enter yourself: the amount with its limits, whether it is total or partial unemployment, whether it uses up the benefit you have left for later and the contributions required. Each block carries the article of the Ley General de la Seguridad Social it comes from, including its additional provisions 41.ª and 46.ª.
It does not calculate your benefit base or what you receive net, it does not check whether you meet the requirements or whether the ERTE is valid, and it does not replace what SEPE recognises. It gives information about the law and is not legal advice.
This is a section in testing: it may contain errors while it is checked against real cases. If you see a figure that does not match the law, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.

Errors in the figures
Severance pay figures are checked against cases calculated with the CGPJ's calculator. If you see a figure that does not match the law, you can write to hola@eslojusto.es.
